Mark Haisma left Yarra Yering in Australia in 2007, making his way to Burgundy. He started out by buying juice to make his wines, but has since acquired some exceptional holdings of his own. From the old vines of 'En Pallud', this Gevrey is a rich and complex expression of the terroir. We bought this wine En Primeur (before bottling) back when this vintage was first released. It is already shaping up to be a delicious wine, and will enter its prime drinking window in 2027.

From fruit grown on old vines (60-70 years old) on his own Domaine, there is an enchanting complexity to this wine. Some savoury gamey notes are mingling in with the brooding, earthy, yet aromatic red fruits.'
