Nestled in the Valpolicella Classico hills of Veneto, Quintarelli remains the definitive benchmark for the region particularly when it comes to Valpolicella and Amarone. It is a fiercely traditional, family-run estate where wines are crafted with extraordinary patience and uncompromising standards now made by Bepi’s daughter Fiorenza. We are pleased to offer the 2025 white vintage, showcasing Quintarelli’s characteristically precise and aromatic expression, alongside the magnificent 2016 and 2019 red vintages, which demonstrate the estate’s mastery of Amarone and Valpolicella at their most profound. These are wines of remarkable depth, complexity, and longevity. We are honoured to be one of just six importers allowed to directly bring these wines into the UK.

As the flagship wine of the estate, Amarone Classico is only produced in the vintages that will do justice to the outstanding reputation of Quintarelli. The very best barrels are selected for the Estate's crowning glory, the Riserva. Following several months undergoing the drying process, fermentation is very slow with indigenous yeasts. The wine is released following 8 years of aging in large Slavonian oak botti.

"The Quintarelli Giuseppe 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva, made mainly from a blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, has been in the bottle since November 2023. It is a wine of great impact and intensity, with the texture and fullness to match. This warm and sunny vintage offers aromas of dried plums, sweet cigars, spices and roasted cherries. The structure of the wine is still firm and compact, which bodes well for its future development in the bottle. The alcohol content is listed at 16.5% and the 2015 vintage contains three to four grams per Liters of residual sugar, which gives the wine a lingering sense of volume and depth on the finish."
