Join us at Taurus Wines on Whipley Manor Farm for an evening of food and wine in our beautifully renovated, 400-year-old barn in the heart of the Surrey Hills as it is transformed into a banqueting hall for the evening.
Founder and winemaker of Dandelion Vineyards, Elena Brooks will be guiding us through a selection of Dandelion Vineyards' highly acclaimed of wines.
As Elena was a young girl in Bulgaria, her mother worked in a winery. The demise of the Soviet Republic opened the door to an influx of westerners interested in the age-old history of wine making in these former states. Many Australians visited and stayed at the winery and as the only one able to speak English, Elena started helping translate after school. By the age of 12, she was interpreting barrel tastings with the winemakers. By the age of 15, she had the wine knowledge and vocabulary of a veteran, and by 16 she was making her first batches of Chardonnay.
After study she ventured and worked in many amazing wine regions of the world, and has now settled with husband and two children in McLaren Vale. With the myriad of award winning wines she now makes under Dandelion Vineyards, Elena is recognised as one of Australia’s brightest stars.
On arrival, you will enjoy a welcome glass and canapés followed by a three-course tasting menu prepared by our neighbours, Tandem Catering. As you dine, you will be told the story behind each bottle - its origins, tasting notes and techniques - and each dish will have been carefully chosen to complement the wine.

These dinners are limited to a maximum of 32 people, so secure your tickets sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

Cancellation policy: We cannot reserve places at wine tastings without payment. We always understand when circumstances change, however due to excessive cancellations in the past (which sadly led to us having to stop running our Wine School) we now have this policy in place: If you cancel up to one week before the event we will issue a full refund; between one week and 48 hours before the event, we will issue a full refund, but only if we can resell your ticket at full face value; we cannot offer a refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of the event.
