Pinot Noir

75cl * 13.5% ABV * Côtes de Beaune, Burgundy, France

Louis Jadot's founder purchased his first hectare of this vineyard in the 1830s. It has long been considered a very fine 1er Cru, producing the quintessential Beaune with enticing perfume, generous fruit with savoury notes and good structure. Les Theurons' vineyards consist of four parcels descending the slope above the city of Beaune, which divide the northern Premiers Crus from the southern ones. In fact, if you get the train to Beaune, as you walk up to the little walled city its probable that those lush vineyards you see on the slopes above are Les Theurons, basking in the morning sun.

It unites an aromatic bouquet, full body and ample structure with generous fruit flavours and an unusual delicacy on the palate, culminating in a lingering finish. The fermentation takes place in vats, after which they are aged in wooden barrels for an average of 12-15 months before being bottled. Elegant, savoury, berry-fruit flavours that are excellent with game, wild mushrooms and rich chicken and beef dishes. Serve at a temperature of 16°C.
