Gusbourne sources its fruit from 60 hectares of vines in Kent - on a south facing ancient escarpment in Appledore - and 30 hectares near Goodwood in West Sussex. Clay soils bring a richness to the wine, while the coastal influence adds a lovely freshness and salinity.
Their Brut reserve is a blend of the traditional champagne grapes, with Chardonnay taking the lead. It shows plenty of ripe citrus, green apple and toasted cobnuts, with a distinct minerality to the finish.
