Loveblock is a family-owned winery in Central Otago, with a strong focus on sustainability and low-intervention winemaking. The Pinot Noir comes from the ‘Someone’s Darling’ vineyard, now in conversion to organic farming, where free-draining soils and a select combination of clones contribute both structure and aromatic complexity. Wild yeast fermentation, with some and gentle oak ageing help preserve the vineyard’s character while adding depth and texture.
Bright crimson in colour, the wine has aromas of ripe black cherry and mushroom. The palate is fleshy and expressive, with layers of black plum and ripe red berries, complemented by delicate floral notes and a savoury finish. Ideal with turkey, salmon, lamb or beef, this is an approachable yet age-worthy Pinot Noir that can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years.
