This Saint-Amour offers a generous, fruit-forward expression of Gamay, with aromas of strawberries and violet. The palate is full-bodied and juicy, with a touch of liquorice and white pepper on the finish.
The fruit is sourced from a variety of terroirs - primarily sandstone, blue stone, clay and granite sand - which adds complexity and character to the wine. In the cellar, the winemakers use the traditional “chapeau grillé” method, a technique for gentle extraction that provides structure whilst retaining the elegance of the wine.
