The delicious second wine of Deuxième Cru Classé, Rauzan Ségla. Worked by the same team and according to the same requirements as the Grand Cru Classé, it is an initiation to the sophistication and the philosophy of the estate: a delicate, tasty and expressive style which elegantly imprints the distinction of the great terroirs of the Margaux appellation.
Following a sunny and dry Summer and Autumn, the 2018 vintage is characterised by its density. The soft red fruits bring deliciously juicy and intense quality, while the black fruit tinged with liquorice further densifies the harmonious bouquet. Over this incomparable fruitiness float the ripe floral aromas of violets. The fresh, zesty notes of pink grapefruit are invigorating and contribute to the ethereal posture of the whole. The palate is whole, dense, broad and soft all at once. It develops its flavours in a very distinct tactile crescendo, showing no hint of heaviness. A remarkable wine, the fruit of perfectly matured grapes.
