Jacob Leadley, former winemaker at Hattingley, has built Black Chalk into one of England's most respected wine producers. Their still rosé is made with minimal intervention, using a clone of 779 Pinot Noir alongside whole bunch pressed Pinot Précoce. The wine is lovely and dry, with aromas of fresh berries. The palate is peachy and slightly floral, with a nice creaminess from malolactic fermentation. Very drinkable, especially with smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels!
