Vega Sicilia Macan Clasico 2022 [in bond, ex VAT] (6 x 75cl)

99% Tempranillo, 1% Garnacha

Macán Clásico draws its freshness and vibrancy from vineyards on the slopes of the Sierra de Cantabria; the elevated setting lends natural tension, bright fruit and a sense of precision to the wine. 

Vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity and aromatic clarity, Macán Clásico is then carefully matured to integrate oak without overpowering the fruit. Ageing takes place for 10 months in a combination of new and second-use French extra-fine grained oak barrels, followed by 18 months of bottle ageing prior to release.

The vintage benefited from a mild spring and ideal flowering conditions, with harvest carried out in stable weather from mid-September to early October. The resulting wine is fresh, expressive and finely balanced, offering a modern expression of Rioja. 

Drink now to 2036. Store between 12-14ºC and serve at 18ºC.
