Sauvignon Blanc

75cl * Vegan * 13.5% ABV * Loire Valley, France

The Ladoucette family have been producing wines for over 600 years from their 165 hectare estate of Chateau du Nozet in Pouilly-Fume, and are recognised for producing some of the world's finest Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley in France. The estate’s story begins in 1787, when Count Lafond acquired the Château from the daughter of King Louis XV. Today, Baron Patrick de Ladoucette continues this legacy, personally overseeing every stage of production.

Fruit for the Grande Cuvée is sourced from the finest vineyards in Sancerre, rich in flint and limestone soils. Hand-harvested grapes are fermented and aged in stainless steel, with extended lees contact and bâtonnage to build texture and complexity without compromising freshness. There is no oak influence here, allowing the floral, fruit and flinty character to shine through.

The result is a Sancerre that is full-bodied yet vibrant, creamy yet crisp, beautifully balanced and expressive of its terroir. Aromas of elderflower and fresh herbs lead into a core of green apple and citrus, carried by a long, mineral finish. A superb match for seafood, goat’s cheese and light dishes, it is drinking wonderfully now but will also cellar gracefully for up to five years.
