The village of Vougeot sits at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, bordered by Chambolle-Musigny to the north and Vosne-Romanée to the south. The famed Clos Vougeot vineyard spans 50 hectares, with Jadot owning just over two - parcels that encompass both the higher, chalk-strewn slopes and the deeper, more clay-rich soils below. This diversity of terroir brings both elegance and power to the wine.
The 2015 vintage was exceptional, producing small, concentrated berries after a warm, dry season. The resulting wine shows remarkable balance between richness and structure. Aromas of dark cherry, violet, and spice lead into a palate of depth and precision, framed by fine-grained tannins and a long, savoury finish. Perfect with roast game, duck, or mature cheeses such as Camembert or Comté.
