Domaine Joël Delaunay’s Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2024 comes from the rolling banks of the Cher Valley, just east of Tours, where clay soils impart a lifted mineral freshness to the wines. The Delaunay family has been tending vines here for five generations, with Thierry Delaunay today carrying on the tradition, crafting vibrant, expressive whites that showcase the heart of Touraine.
The 2024 vintage was shaped by a cool, slow ripening season, which brought freshness and aromatic intensity to the fruit. A few months on lees has lent texture and depth without compromising its energy. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that captures the essence of the Loire - bright, aromatic, and finely balanced, with a long, mineral finish that makes it a perfect match for goat’s cheese, fresh seafood, or light vegetable dishes.
