Haras de Pirque’s Galantas Cabernet Franc 2021 showcases the expressive potential of the Maipo Andes Valley. The growing season was marked by a dry winter and spring with cooler temperatures, followed by a hot summer; careful canopy management allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness despite a slightly delayed harvest. The three vineyard parcels were fermented separately in stainless steel and French oak, with a brief cold maceration to enhance aromatic complexity, before aging for 14 months in barriques.

Galantas is deep red with purple hues, offering a fragrant, spicy nose of tobacco, roasted coffee, and dark berries. The palate is elegant and structured, with supple tannins framing notes of cassis, graphite, and fresh spice. This refined Cabernet Franc pairs beautifully with game, rich meat dishes, and stuffed pasta, highlighting both the varietal finesse and the unique terroir of the Maipo Andes Valley.
