Nebbiolo

This Barolo comes from a south-westerly facing vineyard in the heart of Bussia, Monforte d’Alba, first produced at Prunotto as a single vineyard wine in 1961. The fruit is enhanced by maturation in large oak barrels following malolactic fermentation to refine structure and elegance.
The nose is layered and precise, with aromas of blood-oranges, pink pepper, wild berries, and subtle earthy notes of roots and truffle. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a freshness that balances the luscious fruit. The finish is long and persistent, echoing the complex aromas, while the wine’s oak aging adds finesse without overpowering its vibrant Nebbiolo character. Perfect with slow-cooked meats, roasted game, or rich risottos.
