Nebbiolo

Prunotto's Barbaresco is a refined expression of Nebbiolo from vineyards in Treiso and Neive. The growing season was favourable, producing perfectly ripe, healthy grapes, which were destemmed, gently crushed, and macerated for around eight days at controlled temperatures. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine spent roughly a year in large French oak barrels of varying sizes, softening tannins and imparting character without overwhelming the fruit.
The wine opens with an intricate bouquet of red berries, rose petals, and subtle spice, complemented by a hint of liquorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet supple, with velvety tannins and a harmonious structure that carries through to a long, graceful finish. This Barbaresco is beautifully versatile at the table, ideal with truffle risotto, roasted game, or slow-cooked meats.
