Masseria Maìme is located in Upper Salento near San Pietro Vernotico, set along a coastline of vineyards stretching between woodlands and pine forests. The 2022 growing season was hot and dry, with mild spring weather and moderate summer breezes that ensured balanced ripening. Grapes were harvested slightly overripe, and the wine has been matured in oak.
The nose reveals blackberries, raspberries and cherry jam, complemented by hints of liquorice and chocolate. It is generous on the palate, with elegant tannins and a long, persistent finish. It pairs beautifully with roasted meats, rich pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
