This contemporary take on Orvieto Classico comes from the clay-veined soils of the vineyards surrounding the medieval castle at Castello della Sala, which forms part of the Antinori Estate.
The 2024 growing season saw a gradual, balanced ripening of the fruit, lending depth to the wine. Each grape variety was fermented separately in stainless steel tanks, with partial skin-contact and lees aging to enhance structure and complexity.
Aromas of white blossoms, peaches and grapefruit follow through to the palate, where a lively acidity balances out the supple fruit and elegant floral notes. This wine has good texture and a pleasant minerality on the finish. Pair with Mediterranean-style vegetable dishes, seafood and risotto.
