Domaine Pernot Belicard was established in 2009 by Philippe Pernot, grandson of the renowned Paul Pernot. After inheriting prized old vines from from his wife's family, Philippe began bottling more of his own wine, gradually shifting away from selling to negociants.

Today, the vineyard work is meticulous, with hand harvesting, low yields and careful sorting. In the cellar, fermentation takes place in barrel, followed by time on fine lees in stainless steel before bottling.

Their 2023 Puligny-Montrachet 'Composition Parcellaire' is a blend of fruit from nine separate vineyard parcels across the village, each contributing layers of detail and texture to the final wine. Vine age ranges from 30 to 70 years, with plots spanning key zones near Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, and the heart of Puligny itself.

In the glass, the wine is pale and precise. The nose has hints of white orchard fruit, citrus and wet stone. On the palate, there's freshness and lift, with a good mineral backbone, pure fruit, and a hint of reduction adding depth. The finish is long, focused, and finely balanced.

This wine is a perfect match for dishes like pan-seared scallops with lemon butter, roast chicken with thyme and garlic, or mushroom risotto, and cheeses like Saint-Marcellin.

Drink now to December 2031.
