Part of the Exceptional Cask Selection series, this bottling is a 14yo blend of ex-Bourbon and ex-Madeira cask-aged rums.
There are notes of dried fruits and orange peel on the nose, with hints of butterscotch and ginger. The palate is smooth and enveloping, with underripe pineapple and green banana, plenty of oak, and a grippy astringency. The finish is warm and lasting, with notes of dates, cinnamon, and ginger.
This rum is bottled at 62% ABV without chill filtration, at its natural colour, and entirely free from sweeteners.
