Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Viognier

75cl * 14.5% ABV * Languedoc, France

Chateau Puech-Haut is a, now not-so-secret, star of the Languedoc founded by Gerard Bru. The Chateau owns some of the best vineyard sites in the South of France, 20km northeast of Montpellier, extending over 250 hectares, oscillating between 50 and 150 meters altitude. The estate has become a staple of Languedoc, Robert Parker even qualified it as “Easily one of the top estates in Languedoc (if not of all southern France)”. The combination of warm Maritime climate and mixture of clay and limestone soils topped with sunlight-absorbing galet pebbles, help create a truly impressive range of superb value wines with depth and character.

Made from Roussane, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Viognier the wine spends 6-8 months on the lees with regular lees stirring to give it a wonderful depth of flavour. There are notes of white peach, caramelised dried fruits, honey and jasmine on the palate with a balancing freshness and hints of tannin.

Pairs beautifully with creamy fish dishes, veal with mushrooms and soft cream cheeses.

Serve between 10-12°C.

Drinking window: 2025-2030.
