Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
6 x 75cl * 13.5% ABV * Tuscany, Italy
Tenuta San Guido is located on the Tyrrhenian coast in Maremma (Bolgheri). The estate is primarily known for Sassicaia, the wine that started the super-Tuscan movement. Sassicaia was the sole label produced by Tenuta San Guido until 2000, when Guidalberto was introduced. In 2002, a third label in the form of Le Difese was added to the range.
After more than 20 years of analysis and experimentation Guidalberto, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is now a wine with a clear temperament and a good interpretation of its terroir. It embraces a younger style that seeks fragrance and sweetness on the palate, characteristics that Merlot can offer even with a relatively short ageing period.
