Etienne Sauzet established the eponymous domaine in the early 20th century and through the complicated Napoleonic laws that still govern France, when it comes to inheritance, was almost lost in 1991. However, Gerard Boudot, Etienne's son-in-law and his daughter Emilie have over the years steadied the ship and brought it right. Mainly sourcing their grapes from within the family holdings they went organic and then in 2010 became fully Biodynamic.
