Chardonnay
6 x 75cl * 13.5 % ABV * Burgundy, France
Puligny-Montrachet, it's name deriving from the old French slang for a bog, marais, or marsh and still to this day underground cellars are not common in Puligny as pockets of underground water still prevent the subterranean store houses.
With great luck however, the vines are not amongst the marais, but upon the extremely gentle 'hill', which barely towers high enough to obscure the two villages from each other that share its famous name, and as a result we can enjoy this phenomenal wine.
2023 was a rare but special vintage in Burgundy, providing both quantity and quality. Expect no less from Olivier Leflaive. It promises to deliver a wine of fine contextual balance, complexity and beautiful minerality.
Please note prices are in-bond and exclude VAT and duty, which are payable when the wines land, estimated in Summer 2025.
