Cabernet Sauvignon
75cl * 14% ABV * Maipo Valley, Chile
After gaining independence in 1810, Chileans who had made fortunes in mining and other industries travelled to Europe and returned with a taste for the wines of Bordeaux. As luck would have it, the Maipo Valley shares much in common climatically with the Médoc: warm days and cool nights produce ruby-red coloured Cabernets with ripe blackberry fruit and spice such as this.
