Contacto comes from the sub-region Monção & Melgaço, created by a range of mountains near the Spanish border, which affords the correct percipitation, temperature and sunlight to grow perfect grapes.
The wine was fermented at 12°C to preserve the fresh fruit and aromatic characters of the grapes. The wine was then aged on its fine lees for three months with regular bâtonnage to give the wine body and complexity.
Contacto has a concentrated aroma of floral and citrus fruit notes. On the palate there is a persistent minerality that gives the wine a great backbone, along with citrus and stone fruit flavours and a bright acidity. Beautifully balanced.
Perfect for a picnic at the seaside and of course with fresh seafood.
