The vineyards of the prestigious Château Fleur de Lisse are located on the sun-drenched hillsides of Saint-Émilion. The Chateau Fleur de Lisse is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc grown on rocky limestone soils which adds some beautiful freshness to the wine. The property is now owned by the Teycheney family who are passionate about organic and biodynamic farming and own a high proportion of old vines.
The wine is plush and clearly Merlot dominant on the nose with a glut of cherries and plums with blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry with subtle notes of graphite, hazelnut, chocolate, liquorice and spice. The generous palate is smooth and rounded with terrific balance of fruit, freshness and toasty oak. The finish is fruity, long lasting and delicious. Pair with roast meats or charcuterie.
