Pinotage is the quintessential South African red: crafted from some of the country's oldest vines, Kanonkop's pioneering wine shows bold notes of black plum and dark berry alongside sweet spice and smoke. Full-bodied and chocolatey with warmth and ripeness, it has plenty of stuffing to cope with a braai (meat cooked over charcoal) in its youth, but will gain more complex nuances with time in bottle. Drink to 2030+
