Pinot Gris

On the banks of the River Dart, Pinot Gris thrives in a relatively warm microclimate. Essentially a natural wine, the juice spends 13 days on skins before the free-run juice is transferred into stainless steel where spontaneous fermentation takes place with the naturally occurring wild yeasts. An exciting wine which highlights the potential for England to develop its own distinctive styles of classic varietals.
A complex and textured 'orange wine' made with 100% skin-contact Pinot Gris and produced with minimal intervention from start to finish. The nose has layered aromas of ruby grapefruit, white strawberry, and orange peel, with raspberry and sour stone fruit flavours on the palate supported by soft and grippy tannins, a taut acidity and a long generous finish.
