First produced in 1860 (when it was just 'The Grouse'), The Famous Grouse has been Scotland's number one whisky since 1980. The malt blend is rested longer for smoothness and filtered at a higher temperature for richness. Every cask is nosed prior to blending to ensure the highest quality and consistency batch to batch. The result is aromas of candied fruits, buttery shortbread, citrus peel and a smooth taste of dried fruit, soft cinnamon and ginger spices, with a hint of wood from quality seasoned oak casks.
