Established in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre, Moorooduc Estate is a small, family-run wine business that has developed an enviable reputation for complex and food-friendly wines. Their philosophy in everything is to make the most of top-quality ingredients. Intensive, hands-on care in the vineyard, with minimal use of chemicals and wild yeast fermentation, produces the best possible fruit for the wines.
Pale lemon in colour; tight, restrained and elegant. On the nose the wine shows bright lemon and grapefruit citrus with a touch of fennel, and salted caramel popcorn. On the palate the wine shows great purity and lovely acid line. A delicious drink now and will reward some cellar time.
Match to barbecued prawns with home-made mayonnaise, or a creamy spaghetti carbonara.
