Pinotage is the quintessential South African red: crafted from some of the country's oldest vines. With its bright ruby-red hues, this is a textbook Stellenbosch Pinotage with aromatic and spicy aromas of mulberry, raspberry and cinnamon. Muscular, well integrated tannins add great structure and flavours of bramble, violets, plums and black berries are balanced by scented new oak. This is such an elegant wine, with savoury notes on the lengthy finish, and a lifting underlying freshness.
A fantastic food wine - serve with duck, game, lamb, smoked pork and Asian-style dishes. Its aging potential is 10-15 years from vintage, but can mature for longer under ideal conditions.
