Glenfarclas, is the Gaelic for 'valley of the green grassland', sits at the base of the Corbett mountain, Ben Rinnes. And it is from high on the heather strewn slopes that the natural spring for this whisky has broken through the granite of the mighty mountain.
A benchmark 10 year old dram from Glenfarclas: tempting sherry-sweet malty tones combine with a delicate smokiness, releasing subtle spices, due to aging in 100% Oloroso Sherry casks, hand selected every year. The whisky is a delight on the palate, with dried fruit, honey, vanilla and spices like cinnamon and clove. Long, smooth and spicy, with a delicious, yet delicate, lingering smokiness.
