From one of the most historic names in Sherry, Barbadillo’s Fino is crafted in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where the Atlantic influence and Guadalquivir estuary create the perfect conditions for the Palomino Fino grape. Unlike the fresher, more appley Manzanillas typical of the town, this Fino is aged in cellars set slightly back from the cooling sea breezes, where the flor grows vigorously, giving the wine a nutty, toasty edge alongside its delicate salinity.
Pale and bright in the glass, it shows subtle aromas of green apple, almond and citrus peel, with a hint of salinity. The palate is bone-dry, crisp, and refreshing, with a long and savoury finish. A classic aperitif, and perfect with tapas, shellfish, fried fish, Iberico ham, and salted almonds - the essence of Andalusia in a glass.
