Sourced from 40-year-old vines owned by one of the largest and most highly regarded companies in Rioja. This spends two years in barrel and two years in bottle before release. A deep garnet with just a hint of bricking at the rim. Wild berries and liquorice merge with notes of toffee, tobacco and undergrowth from barrel ageing. Soft and elegant, with smooth velvety tannins and a hint of black pepper, this is a deliciously warm and inviting red ideal for lamb or hard cheeses.
A favourite during a Taurus staff training session in Oct 23.
