Count Saladini Pilastri’s fully organic farm began 300 years ago. Falerio is (whisper it) an antidote to uninspiring Pinot Grigio, and this 'field blend' of Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina hails from the rolling hills of the Marche, located at the calf of Italy’s boot.
Fermentation in stainless steel retains freshness and purity, while a short time on lees adds texture and lift. Aromas of white peach, lemon balm, acacia blossom and wild herbs rise from the glass. The palate is light and crisp, with balanced acidity, gentle fruit and a clean, mineral finish. This is a versatile and approachable wine, excellent with seafood, fresh cheeses or as an aperitif. A refreshing expression of the Marche’s understated charm.
