Pinot Noir
75cl * 11.5% ABV * Vegan * Devon, England
Red grapes can sometimes struggle to reach the ripeness needed to make dependable still wine in England. Not so, however, on the banks of the River Dart, where Sharpham’s west-facing vines bathe in plenty of afternoon sun. This is best English Pinot Noir we've tasted so far. Bursting with cherry fruit aromas the palate is light yet supple, packed with juicy red fruits. Tannins are softened by 9 months in oak and add gentle spice to this excellent Pinot.
We would drink this with anything mushroom-based but it can easily hold up to lean red meat or drinks well with simple pizza and pasta.
