75cl * 13.5% ABV * Margaret River, Australia
Leeuwin Estate is known for producing some of the finest wines, released under their 'Art Series' label, in the entirety of Australia. Famously, Robert Mondavi - of California wine fame - visited the property in the early 1970s and recognised its potential for making exceptional wines. This Chardonnay is one of the most collected Australian wines and a consistently dependable fine New World wine for any cellar. Not shy of good quality oak, this shows an attractive array of ripe peach, grapefruit and smoky spice, yet has plenty of fresh acidity and tightness to match. A sherbet-y and cream-textured white that offers bags of cellaring potential. Drink through 2030+.

“In many ways the most Burgundian of any of the Leeuwin releases, this will rank up there with the best to date. “ 99 points - White Wine & Chardonnay of the Year. Ray Jordan, WA Wine Review 2023
"It is a joy to go back to an old style, rich, smooth, uber-Meursault-like Art Series with generous, creamy, nutty, patisserie and orange blossom notes flowing with abandon. There is a forest of oak here, yet it perfectly matches the ostentatious fruit, and the result is absolutely incredible!" Matthew Jukes 2022/23 100 Best Australian Wines
