Errazuriz’s philosophy is best expressed by Don Maximiano - founder of the estate in 1870 - who said, “From the best land, the best wine.” Vineyards lying on schist soils on the Aconcagua Coast benefit from proximity to the cold Pacific Ocean, only 12 kilometres away, as the vines are refreshed and kept healthy by sea breezes. This offers subtle notes of red fruit - sour cherries and wild strawberries - accompanied with mushroom and earthy notes. Some crisp acidity lends an easy-drinking juiciness to the wine. Spot on with mushroom and pancetta pasta.
