A mouthful of a name - a mouthful in the glass! This sherry from Bodegas Barbadillo in Sanlucar de Barrameda is instense yellow in colour with golden glints, that lead on to a fragrant aroma. On the palate it is smooth, with the blend of older Manzanillas giving it a pleasant and refreshing hint of bitterness. Traditionally it would be paired with cured meat, but try it with sushi for an innovative and tasty pairing. Interestingly, the striking label designs comes from a huge tiled wall mural in the bodega - the lady shown being the figurative embodiment of the pastoral countryside.
