Pinot Noir
75cl * Vegan * 13.5% ABV * Limari Valley, Chile
Founded in 2002, Vina Tabali is a pioneering winery in Chile’s Limari Valley, where the desert meets the Pacific. With 12 months of bottle aging in French oak, this is a delicious, mouth-watering and delicate Pinot Noir with smoky plum and redcurrant and hints of strawberry on the nose. The palate has more smoky fresh red fruit with a clean almost scented finish. Fresh citrus acidity helps to provide backbone and a gentle, soft silky finish. The perfect partner with summer barbecues, grilled vegetables, roast lamb, Autumnal stews or hearty risottos.
The winery itself is a feat of both architecture and sustainability. Built discreetly into a ravine, it all but disappears into its surroundings – a deliberate design that both preserves the beauty of the desert terrain and protects the building from heat. Its award-winning roof, shaped like an inverted aircraft wing, captures to cool pacific air and channels it through the fermentation cellars below. This naturally regulates temperatures, thus eliminating the need for any artificial cooling despite the desert heat.
