This Dr. Loosen 'L' Dry Riesling is sourced from multiple slate-strewn vineyards in the spectacular terraced landscape of West Germany's Mosel Valley and full of characteristic Mosel Riesling acidity. For six years prior to 2021 it had been sunny and relatively hot in the Mosel. Then 2021 bucked that trend, a cooler vintage all together and wet. However, 2022 was not just a return to the hotter summers but was the hottest year on record. The vintage was 'saved' by the cool September rains, just at the right time, which brought volume and freshness. The wine is well balanced with a good acidity.
Bottled in a lightweight bottle using vegan friendly winemaking techniques, this Riesling is also certified sustainable.
