Château Haut-Marbuzet has been in the Duboscq family since 1952, and is known for its distinctive Saint-Estèphe wine that is more generous than its austere neighbours. The 66-hectare vineyard, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc on gravel and clay-limestone soils, is farmed with an ever-growing commitment to sustainability and organic practices.

Château Haut-Marbuzet 2019 is a beautifully expressive wine, deep in colour and layered with aromas of violets, black cherries, cassis and delicate spice. On the palate, it balances richness and freshness with velvety black fruit, supple tannins and subtle oak influence. The texture is opulent yet refined, and the finish is persistent.

This wine’s depth makes it an ideal companion for dishes like slow-braised lamb shanks, beef daube Provençale, or a hearty duck cassoulet. It also works beautifully with earthy vegetable stews or wild mushroom ragù.

Decant for at least 2 hours before drinking. Serve between 17-18°C.

'Black and blue fruit, walnuts, gravy, vanilla, praline and cigar box on the nose. Full-bodied with fine tannins. Balanced, layered and polished with a fleshy texture. Harmonious, with elegance and intensity. Beautiful finish. Wow. Drink from 2025.' - 96 pts James Suckling
