50cl * Rheinhessen, Germany
Daniel Wagner - the 8th generation - manages this winery in the Rheinhessen, amidst a landscape of steep volcanic slopes. The use of only classic grape varieties, organic production, manual pruning and hand-harvesting are the cornerstones of Daniel's winemaking philosophy. Brimming with fresh fruit and floral energy and a delicate smokiness, this drier-than-expect Auslese offers a hint of sweetness countered by a whack of cleansing acidity.

This bottle is part of a wine cellar purchased from a highly respected Master of Wine (MW) with whom I have worked for many years and who is recognised as one of the world’s Italian wine experts. It has been stored in the MW’s own cellar or climate-controlled storage and I have every belief that it is in tip-top condition. However, as with all purchases of this nature there has to be an element of caveat emptor to proceedings – as such, we will not be able to offer refunds or returns on this item.
