This is a modern, unoaked Tempranillo (with a splash of Mazuelo and Graciano for colour and aroma) - the aim of the company is to produce classic styles of Rioja, which combine substance and quality at sensible prices. This is singing with red fruit, fresh cherries and plums, and also hints and spices and pepper. Very approachable with soft tannins, and yet structured enough to cope with barbecued meats and cheeses.
