Sometimes we forget that there's more to the Loire Valley than the familiar names of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume and their wines made from Sauvignon Blanc. We've stocked the Cher et Tendre (meaning "precious or treasure") for a long while and forgot just how delightfully soft and fresh Loire Chenin Blanc - all bergamot, quince, hazelnuts, fresh apple and lemon - is. Its crisp acidity will seamlessly cut through richer chicken dishes or give lift to lightly spiced preparations.
