He also worked vintages in Bordeaux and Burgundy, and studied in Beaune, before returning to the US. Radio-Coteau is a colloquial French expression meaning ‘word of mouth’, which is how Eric’s wines are normally discovered, but of course the more literal connotation of ‘broadcasting from the hillside’ has not gone unnoticed. These are particularly intimate, detailed expressions of some of California’s prime vineyard sites.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNot only is this 16 hectare estate biodynamic, Sussmann also grows his own biodynamic treatments. 100% estate grown grapes are used to produce this, the top Chardonnay of the three produced at Radio-Coteau. The wine is barrel fermented before spending 15 months in wood (25% new oak) and then a further 2-3 months in stainless steel before bottling. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEnjoy sumptuous richness with a minerally edge and refreshing salinity.
