The Art Series wines are highly lauded with the inclusion of both the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon in the prestigious 'Langtons Classification of Australian Wine'. The distinctive 'Art Series' labels feature artwork from leading contemporary Australian artists and the Estate is also home to their own Art Gallery.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\"\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"\u003e2022 was a fantastic, classic vintage for Leeuwin Estate. Mild, sunny conditions across a prolonged ripening period led to wonderful ripe tannins and flavours in the Estate's red wines. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\"\u003eFollowing 9 months maturation in oak barrels, of which 50% was new French oak, the separate parcels were blended for further maturation in French barriques. This wine spent 22 months in total in oak.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"x_elementToProof\"\u003eA depth of currants, dark cherries and boysenberries greet the nose. Fragrance of violet and lavender creates a perfumed and heightened lift. Complexities of oregano, dried sage, black cardomom, anise and tobacco leaf gather beneath. The palate is concentrated and finely textured, with a core of currants and dark cherries. There is elegance with an ethereal nature; brightness, vibrancy and buoyancy of natural acidity is a highlight.
