In a world of English sparkling wines, Stopham pride themselves on being still wine specialists. They work with Pinot Gris, Auxerrois Bacchus and now Chardonnay. Applying barrel fermentation adds complexity and body to the wine. A great move and an enjoyable wine.
The barrel fermented Chardonnay has been fermented in French oak barrels to add a rich texture to the wine. The time spent in barrel delivers beautiful flavours of baked apple and stone fruit perfectly balanced with juicy acidity. Serve chilled with buttered scallops, white fish or creamy pasta.
