Pinot Noir
75cl * 13% ABV * Burgundy, France
Gaëlle et Jerome Meunier began in 2005 in the villages of Mercury and have since added further sites. They are establishing a reputation for high quality practises in the vineyard and in production. Their appellation level wine is greatly respected.
In a wonderful addition to these premium wines they are also making Bourgogne level white and red, which have all of that high quality practice. One way they do this is blend the juices from several sites and use the grapes of young vines. This has produced a lighter but very juicy Pinot Noir. Floral notes and lots of red fruit jump out at you but unlike other young wines, this is not a raw wine, it has balance and gentle tannins. All the effort in the vineyard and winery are really evident here.
